The Jacksonville Jaguars are evaluating the installation of a memorial at EverBank Stadium that would allow fans to store their cremated remains, a feature being tested during a major renovation of the venue. The team is currently preparing to play games in Orlando next season on the I-95 and I-4 corridor while EverBank undergoes a $1.4 billion upgrade that includes a new canopy and wider concourses.
This initiative, dubbed the "904Ever Club," is being developed in conjunction with Eternal Fan, the team's official fan memories partner. According to Front Office Sports, some fans have already committed funds of up to $6,000 to participate in the project. The plan involves installing a 14-by-14-foot memorial structure designed to hold personal artifacts, with the top tier package priced at $5,904.
While the Jaguars will not bear the construction costs, the arrangement provides financial relief for the franchise. Eternal Fan is responsible for building and maintaining the memorial, and it generates revenue from the packages sold to fans. In return, Eternal Fan pays annual fees to the Jaguars, offsetting some of the expenses associated with the broader stadium renovation.
The concept of interring ashes in a sports stadium is not new, with other fanbases reportedly investing in similar tributes. However, the Jacksonville project represents a specific attempt to monetize fan loyalty through a long-term partnership with a third-party provider. The team has indicated that the final implementation of this feature depends on sufficient interest from supporters.
