Kalshi bans Republican politician George Santos for life over insider event-contract trading

Kalshi, the US prediction platform, issued its first-ever lifetime ban to Republican politician George Santos after an investigation concluded he had used insider information to trade on event contracts. A second politician, Laurie Buckhout, received a three-year suspension from the same investigation.

Santos's ban is permanent. Buckhout's runs three years. In both cases, the finding turned on insider information applied to event contracts.
