Bybit plans to introduce a new super app in Europe that will combine a standard bank account with stock and cryptocurrency trading. The privately held Dubai-based exchange, which reports more than 80 million users worldwide, has secured an electronic money institution license from European regulators. This regulatory approval, alongside an existing Markets in Crypto Assets (MiCA) license in Austria, allows Bybit to launch the integrated platform for the European market.
The company aims to merge the services of financial technology firms and online brokerages into a single application. Once operational, the super app will provide European users with traditional banking capabilities and access to trade derivatives, tokenized stocks, and digital assets, including Bitcoin. To support the tokenized equity component, Bybit has established a partnership with xStocks, a service from rival crypto exchange Kraken.
Bybit has not yet announced a specific launch date for the new super app. As a private company, Bybit's stock does not trade on any public exchange.
