Cheri Beranek is set to retire as President and Chief Executive Officer of Clearfield, Inc. (NASDAQ: CLFD) on March 31, 2027. The Minneapolis-based company confirmed that Beranek will remain in her current position until either a successor is named or the retirement date arrives, whichever happens first. Once her replacement is appointed, Beranek will stay on with the company in a non-director role, holding the title of President and Chief Executive Officer Emeritus.
Clearfield's Board of Directors has begun the search for the next CEO, evaluating both internal and external candidates with the help of a nationally recognized search firm. Catherine T. Kelly, the Board Chair, acknowledged Beranek's two decades of leadership, highlighting her role in shaping the company's product and market expansion and driving profitable growth.
Beranek, who co-founded Clearfield in 2008, reflected on her time at the helm, noting that the company is well positioned for its next growth phase. She stated that transitioning to an Emeritus role will help facilitate the handover to her successor. The company expects its fiscal 2026 fourth quarter and full-year results to match the guidance issued during its August 5, 2026 earnings call, based on preliminary unaudited data. Clearfield plans to release these results after market close on Tuesday, November 10, 2026.
The fiber optic solutions provider serves various sectors including telecom, data centers, and network infrastructure. Its labor-lite platform supports community broadband providers, multiple system operators, and other service providers in connecting homes and businesses. Clearfield deploys more than a million fiber ports each year.
