Nvidia intends to reveal $2 billion in new artificial intelligence investments for Europe during the coming week, a move that supplements the $8 billion the company has already committed to the region over the last year, according to CEO Jensen Huang.

The chipmaker also disclosed fresh capital for four French startups focused on AI. These investments target Doctolib, a healthcare technology platform; Genesis AI, a robotics company; Pigment, a business software provider; and Entalpic, a firm specializing in chemistry and materials research.

Huang called on European leaders to speed up their AI initiatives. He highlighted the need for open-source models, technological sovereignty, and advances in robotics, asserting that the continent must join the global competition.
