Sigma has announced the FP2, a full-frame mirrorless camera that the company describes as the world's smallest in its class. The new model arrives seven years after Sigma launched the original fp, which was previously marketed as the smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless camera. While the FP2 retains the compact form factor, it introduces several hardware upgrades, including an improved sensor, an articulating LCD display, and extended battery life. These additions have increased the body-only weight by approximately six grams compared to its predecessor, prompting Sigma to drop the "lightest" claim for this generation. The FP2 is priced at $2,199 for the camera body alone. A bundle option including Sigma's upgraded EVF-21 viewfinder is available for $2,749. The new camera is scheduled to become available on November 11th.
