Sylvester Stallone described himself as an "idiot" for performing his own stunts, citing nine back operations and three neck fusions that followed decades of action roles. In an interview with Fox News Digital, the actor detailed a history of injuries he characterized as "millions" of regrets, stating that the cumulative damage has left him "quite the same" physically.

Stallone attributed the bulk of his recent surgeries to his work on "The Expendables." He listed specific procedures, including operations on both shoulders and lens replacements for his eyes, describing the physical toll as "brutal." "Now you have to like make peace with the pain as much as you can," he told Fox News Digital. The 80-year-old actor advised against taking on stunt work personally, urging performers to "let the pro do it." He noted that gravity is an unbeatable force when hitting the ground, comparing the inevitability of injury to the experiences of professional football players.

Beyond his physical health, Stallone discussed the upcoming fourth season of "Tulsa King," which is scheduled to release on Paramount+ on October 16, 2026. He explained that his character, Dwight Manfredi, has not yet achieved his goals, a narrative arc he believes is essential for the show's dramatic tension. The new season opens with Manfredi facing pressure from new adversaries operating with technological, political, and mafioso elements from New York, while simultaneously dealing with internal conflicts within his own crew. Stallone described the resulting situation as akin to a "cuckoo's nest" that requires careful management.

The actor also addressed his permanent move from California to Florida in 2024 with his wife, Jennifer Flavin. He stated that he felt "complacent and dull" during his time in California, whereas the move to Florida has been "invigorating." Stallone credited the change in environment with providing a sense of peace and biological nourishment that he lacked in more populous areas. He noted that while he knew no one upon arriving in Florida, he has since built a strong social circle.

Stallone shared that his oldest daughter, Sophia, announced her engagement to Michael Sheehan in August. He joked that Sheehan’s nurturing behavior, including bringing breakfast and flowers, makes him look bad by comparison. Stallone admitted he did not learn those domestic skills from his own family but expressed hope that Sheehan’s approach would benefit their relationship dynamics.
